Ideal for poultry houses – especially broiler and layer operations, these bulbs feature an optimized beam angle that shines downward on the ground in a 125° radius. This concentrated LED lighting helps chickens thrive and grow at a faster rate – chicks mature in 4.5 weeks versus the typical 5 weeks.

Advantages

• Use the 3000K bulbs in a layer or broiler houses where the 5000K color is not desired
• The 5000K offers 6% higher lumen outputs than the 3000K
• 55 mA and 520 lumens at 3000K and 545 lumens at 5000K; the old style was 75 mA, 490 lumens
• 55 mA bulbs offer lower levels of dimming and higher lumens than previous models
• Do not mix 55 mA & 75 mA bulbs on the same lines. The switch from 75 mA to 55 mA was done in mid-June 2015
• Beam angles have been designed around the ag industry and lighting the floor evenly. The 6W bulbs have 125° beam angles; what you find generally is OMNI directional (300°, not 125° aimed at the floor). 300 means the maximum amount of light is not on the floor & light may be lost on sidewalls and ceilings
